Publish your product

The ready-to-publish checklist and what has to be in place to go live.

For practitioners

Publishing makes your product public and available to buy. Before it can go live, a checklist makes sure the essentials are in place, so nothing half-finished reaches a learner.

The ready-to-publish checklist

The editor shows a live checklist of what still needs doing. It mirrors exactly what publishing requires, so if the checklist is satisfied, you can publish.

For a workshop or cohort, the checklist asks for:

  • Title and Description.
  • What you'll learn, at least one outcome.
  • Level, Audience, and Requirements.
  • What we'll cover, at least one module. For a cohort this lives in the session syllabus instead.
  • Projects, except on a cohort, where the sessions carry them.
  • The schedule: a date and time, or a cohort start date.
  • A price at or above the floor for that type (see Price your product).

A Sprint Lesson is free and short, so it is not asked for Level, Audience, Requirements, or a price.

Alongside those, your account has to be ready: your profile approved by Maram, the current Practitioner Agreement accepted, Stripe connected for anything paid, and Zoom connected for an online live product.

Publishing an online live product

When you publish an online live workshop or cohort, Maram creates the Zoom meeting on your connected account and prepares the join link. If your product includes a recording, cloud recording is set up automatically.

The agreement

Publishing requires that you have accepted the current Practitioner Agreement. If it has been updated, you accept the new version before publishing.

After publishing

Your product is live on your profile and in the catalog, and can be bought. You can still edit it. A change you make later does not change the promise for someone who already bought (their delivery and recording terms are fixed at their purchase).

Unpublishing

You can take a product back to draft, but if people have already enrolled, it stays available to them and cannot simply be deleted. To close something out that has buyers, cancel it, which refunds them. See Cancellations and reliability.
